  • Bring it to a boil while stirring. Put the lid back on and lock it. Mix in some salt and set aside.
  • It only takes one whistle on high heat to get it perfectly done. Follow up by cooking it over a low heat for 4 whistles. Now, set it aside to cool.
  • Put some khichdi in a bowl. Top with a tablespoon of ghee.
