Ingredients for Oats Idli Cups
- Oats flour: 40 grams
- Curd (yogurt): 50 grams

- Carrot: ½ small (about 50 g), grated
- Salt: as per requirement
- Olive oil: 1 tsp (about 4.5 g)
Instructions for Oats Idli Cups (microwave)
- In a mixing bowl, combine 40 g oats flour and 50 g curd. Stir to form a medium-thick batter. If batter is too thick, add 1–2 tbsp water — batter should be pourable but not runny.
- Add the grated carrot and salt to taste. Mix well so the carrot is evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl and let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes to allow the oats to hydrate. This improves texture.
- Right before cooking, sprinkle in 0.25 pack Eno and fold gently — you should see the batter become airy.
- Lightly grease 2–3 microwave-safe silicone or ceramic idli cups / muffin cups with a little oil. Pour the batter into the cups, filling each about 3/4 full to leave room for rising.
- Place the filled cups on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes depending on your microwave wattage (2 min for 800–1000 W, up to 3 min for lower wattage). Cook until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean and the top feels springy.
- Carefully remove cups (they will be hot). Let the idli cups sit for 1 minute, then turn out onto a plate or simply eat from the cup.
- Serve hot with chutney, sambar, or a dollop of yogurt/olive oil. Enjoy!
