1. Cooked rice (mashed): 350gms
2. Wheat flour: 20gms
3. Besan/Bengal gram flour: 50 gms
4. Turmeric powder: 1/8 tsp
5. Chilli powder: 1/8 tsp
6. Asafoetida: 1 pinch
7. Curd: 3 tbsp
8. Chopped coriander leaves: 2 tbsp
9. Chopped green chilli: ½ tsp
10. Sunflower oil: 4 tsp
11. Salt to taste
1. In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients except oil. Mix well adding half cup of water
2. Heat tawa or griddle. Grease it with a little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter on it and spread it using a ladle.
3. Cook both sides using little oil, until it becomes golden brown.
4. Make 3 more cheela in the same way.
5. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
